As the year 2013 ended and a new year began, I cannot help but reminisce the past and at the same time dream and hope for a better and brighter future. A better future not just for me as a student and as a student leader, but for us as Malaysian students in a foreign land persevering through the difficulties, for MASAF as we are trying to expand our responsibilities and functions to better cater you and also for Malaysia our beloved homeland, as there is always room for improvement in everything.

As it is ‘les vacancies’, I am sure most of you are enjoying yourself travelling or if not, just having a chill time before the ‘rentrée’. On behalf of the whole team of MASAF extending from the legislative, executive and regional council would like to wish you all a very Happy New Year 2014!

May this new year be a better one in every way possible for you and your peers. We in MASAF are currently working hard to negotiate with airline companies, creating bilateral ties with other student associations from the South-East Asia region, planning all the upcoming events(CNY, WORKSHOP, GAMES, CULTURAL NIGHT, GRADUATION DAY and SUMMER CAMP in MALAYSIA).

Finally I would like to thank all those who have worked selflessly for MASAF to better serve the bigger majority of students here and making our events successful so far. A ‘thank you’ from me may not be enough but I hope that you found satisfaction and pleasure in serving your fellow Malaysian. A feeling of satisfaction and pleasure that I felt which keeps me going and motivated each day despite the many burdens of having this time consuming responsibility.

As MASAF is a student association that belongs to YOU, I hope that YOU will continue to give support to YOUR association. It doesn’t belong to me as my time is limited and I am only here to steer the ship. But at the end of the day, MASAF is what ALL OF YOU make of it.

The more united we stand, the stronger we will be – something soo essential for MASAF which represents every Malaysian regardless of your background.

If we can dream it, we can do it.
