Rules and Regulations

  1. Participation Eligibility:
    1.  MASAF Got Talent is open to all Malaysian students in France.
    2. You can participate as an individual or as a team. However, should you win as a team, the prize will be shared among yourselves.
    3. A team can consist of up to four members only.
  2. Registration and Submissions:
    1. Submissions must be made online (only), via email to culture@masafrance.org, Whatsapp at (phone number) or in Google Drive on or before 23:59 CET on April 17, 2021. No late submissions will be accepted.
    2. All work needs to be submitted in the form of a video with a minimum duration of one minute and with the lowest quality of 720p.
    3. Participants must include a clear view of their faces in order to avoid any misleading content (plagiarism).
  3. Selection of Winners:
    1. Winners will be evaluated based on:
      1. Originality
      2. Enthusiasm
      3. Creativity
      4. Talent
      5. Presentation
    2. Winners are chosen based on:
      • 40% public voting
      • 60% jury evaluation
    3. Number of winners will depend on the number of participants in a given category.
      1. 5-7 participants : 3 winners
      2. 4 participants : 2 winners
      3. 1-3 participants : 1 winner
  4. Additional information
    1. There will be three categories and each category is limited to seven participants:
      1. Musical : singing, instrumental covers
      2. Performances: dancing, juggling, magic tricks, poem recitation, etc
      3. Beaux-arts: drawing, painting, colouring
    2. Only one category per participant is allowed.
    3. Usage of profanity will not be tolerated, any cases will be preceded by a ban implication in future events. Example ; throwing insults at MASAF and/or other participants about the tournament held and choice of winners.

MASAF which stands for the Malaysian Students’ Association in France was established in 2007 by a group of Malaysian students. MASAF now represents all the Malaysian students in France, and also serves as a networking platform for the students with the Malaysian French graduates alumni.
